Kfc - Courtenay

Complained about waiting for phone order and congestion with only one person working. Got a nice complimentary voucher for popcorn chicken in return. Arrived at 1120 AM to pick up order. Outlet not open and a lineup had already started. Did not wait. Your location is fraught with problems. firstly access and egress a real problem. Hard to find a parking place and when leaving there is such a line of traffic its impossible to get out. We waited so long for KFC toreappear in our community and I foresee nothing but logistical isssues at this location.

The staff were friendly. The sides were good. The dining area was not very clean (to be fair it was the dinner rush). The main dish, the chicken, was greasy and the white meat was quite tough and dry. Which especially added insult to injury when I was given mostly white meat, after they agreed to give me mostly dark. I will be waiting a while to go back, to give their cook staff time to learn how to properly cook and identify chicken pieces. I would give them 2.5stars if that was possible.

Lousy outfit I went with my wife at 7 pm and myself and the customer in front of me were told they were prepping the chicken and it wouldn't be ready for 1/2 hour. Went back 1/2 an hour later and was told they were out of chicken. I have heard of them running out of chicken 3 times previously, not a good record for a business only open for a month. I can't wait for Popeye's to open in Courtenay as we will never be going back to as shoddily run outfit as the Courtenay KFCand I will be sure to tell everybody I know.

I liked the nuggets but they were a bit small I tried the poutine from there and I honestly was a little disappointed, but the main part the 6pc Nugget Combo was solid.

Cold, stale chicken. Poutine was covered with a thick layer of pepper. Didnt receive napkins or cutlery. Also the food was seriously overpriced even if it had been good. Would not recommend.
