Fred Ginger Coffee Berkhamsted

Walking past today noticed some chairs on the pavement looked inviting so decided to stop for a coffee wish I hadn’t firstly my partner order the coffee inside and was told we would bring it out to you 10 minutes later it arrived cold very disappointed so decided to take it back my partner walked up to the counter with the two coffees in hand and was just stared at by someone behind the counter not going to call people out but she said they looked at her if she had two heads or an alien from another planet no comment of did you need any help not good customer service there We then sat at the table outside and someone brought the coffee out no greeting or apology it looked like it was all to much trouble and inconvenience because we wanted hot coffee that we paid for with our hard earned money And in glasses that this time was so hot I couldn’t pick the coffee up because there’s no handle on the glass what’s that all about come on fred and ginger coffee goes in a coffee cup and at £3.20 it’s small at that There’s so many coffee shops in berkhamstead that you need to look at your customer service attitude it’s poor the customer can demonstrate with there feet as I will definitely not going back there regardless of it’s small change spent just made us feel like you was doing us a favour by treating us like **** well done

Went there for a takeaway hot chocolate and had to wait about ten minutes to get it. Then it was tiny and it didn’t taste good, not worth the £3.30 I paid for it. To top it all off, I finish the hot chocolate and find something at the bottom of it. Seems like apple peel or something (see photo attached), but definitely not something you expect to find in a hot chocolate. Definitely won’t be returning….

I came in for a coffee and slice of cake, which was lovely! But I would also like to mention how great the team is there. I was feeling unwell and had an absent seizure to which the lad behind the counter was very polite about and brought me a bottle of water and was very kind. Credit to the the team and will come back for sure. Thank you for being so good and caring!

Friendly independent coffee house with indoor and outdoor tables, located alongside the main street of the village there are always passers by.

Yes the coffee and food are all lovely but what really makes the difference is the staff, and Ryan in particular always greets customers with a smile and sincerity. Not easy given all that's going on at the moment. Can be a real mood-lifter on a slow Monday morning!
