They offer unlimited salad, homemade soup (changes daily) and an appetizer (changes daily) with your meal at their salad bar. I usually get the cashew chicken item they are more than accommodating when I want to substitute vegetables. It’s a small restaurant that’s located in a run down strip plaza. Don’t let that fool you because this is one gem of a place. Be warn if you don’t get a table before 12:30 you may be waiting for a table. We make this a regular stop!
The food was good and the atmosphere was pleasant, but we made a mistake in calculating the tip, which resulted in the waitress asking for more. This was unprecedented and ridiculous. Additionally, she started cleaning the table before we had even finished, showing poor hospitality.
The restaurant is tucked away in a dingy-looking strip mall off of a busy stretch of I-595, and the decor is fairly simple and unassuming. Then you taste the food. This is some of the best Thai food I have had in South Fla, and if you’re a fan of Thai cuisine, you must give this place a try! At lunch, they have an unlimited soup and salad bar that was simple, but ample. I appreciated that they made available regular oil and vinegar since I am not a fan of peanut dressing. I assume the place is family owned, since the restaurant has a pleasant and friendly atmosphere.
We have been eating at Emerald Thai for several years. The food is terrific. For lunch, they have a salad/soup and appetizer bar that is included with your meal. If you like peanut dressing on your salad, then this is the place to go. It’s delicious. I usually order the Masaman Curry chicken. They give you the option of mild, medium or hot. Stick with the mild or medium. I have also had a chicken and vegetable and sweet and sour dishes. Everything here is good. Emerald Thai rates as my #1 choice for Thai food in Broward. Try it. You'll like it.
We have been eating at Emerald for 15 years, typically once a week. The food is consistently great and the chef knows just how we prefer our dishes. They offer fantastic lunch specials that include salad, appetizers, and soup bar. I highly recommend trying the Sanibel Chicken - it is delicious and satisfying.
