Perfect little tea cottage, in the heart of the Chatsworth Estate at Edensor, which is a beautiful and very special little village. The staff could not have been more welcoming, we arrived early and they welcomed us in, out from the cold. Opens at 9.30am. We were shown to our table where we could wait in the warm whilst the team set up. Beautiful quirky building, with lots of character with some old traditional features. Lovely friendly staff, the food and service was fabulous. We couldn't fault a thing. I had one of the vegan options, and it was delicious, the rest of the party were just as thrilled with their choices and the service. I noticed some 1 star reviews and these are all mainly due to waiting at busy times, so really not deserved in my opinion! Faultless 10 out of 10 for a perfect service. Thank you to all the staff at Edensor, it was our first visit and we would highly recommend, and return if we were in the area.
We went for breakfast and took our dog with us, extremely friendly welcome and faultless service throughout. Our breakfasts and coffees were very tasty, i also asked for something not on the menu which was no bother at all. Beautiful little cafe worth a visit, we’ll definitely be back!!
We visited this place after a lovely walk through chatsworth park, and what a wonderful place! The management have truly made this a wonderful venue with superb decoration and furnishings. We had booked the autumn afternoon tea and it was absolutely delightful! The little soup cup was delicious to start and the sandwiches were soft and fresh. Following this we had scones and other little seasonal cakes (we had to take some home, which were kindly boxed up), all delicious. Our server Becky was brilliant and we felt really looked after, and the young lady who was the barista Queen (Holly) was also making sure we had plenty of tea. We will definitely be back as we live very local and would highly recommend to all.
We were staying locally and booked into the cottage for breakfast. We all four of us went for 'the works ' which turned out to be as good a breakfast as you 're likely to get anywhere both in terms of the quality of the produce and the way it had been cooked. Add in lovely surroundings and good service ... perfection!
