When I told you, we had the best time to enjoy our Turkey tips, pig tips, wings and links. Lord, it was a party. We talked to the owner and he was very polite, forward-looking and professional. The new location is very beautiful. Clean and great customer service from staff. We haven't waited long. Our food was fresh and so good. I wasn't disappointed. Great job! We were not disappointed and the food tasted great as we remembered. My coin was well spent and worth the return. Satisfied customer :
"This BBQ restaurant is absolutely delicious! It had been a while since I had some good BBQ, so this place was a great opportunity to indulge. The staff was friendly and attentive, and my order came out quickly. The portions were generous for $9. I ordered two pigs in a blanket, rib tips, two slices of bread, and a side of vegan coleslaw. The cheesecake was the standout dish - it was the best I've had in years and you couldn't even tell it was vegan. The BBQ sauce had a nice glaze, similar to Korean BBQ, and while it wasn't as good as brands like Sweet Baby Ray's, it was still delicious. The sauce was quite sweet, which paired nicely with the cheesecake. The meat was well-cooked, although the rib tips had a lot of fat and bones. Overall, I would love to come back to this restaurant again. I give it 5 out of 5 stars!"
This is hands down the best BBQ spot in the Midwest. From the sauce to the tenderness of the wings, you will not be disappointed.
UPDATE 10/19/21: Wilma has moved from a 3-star to a 4-star rating in my book. The wait at this restaurant is usually worth it, as the food served with a smile never disappoints. During my multiple visits since my initial review, I have consistently enjoyed the fresh and delicious food on offer. The BBQ sauce is a standout for its perfect balance of flavors - not too spicy, not too sweet, and just the right thickness. From spicy hot links to well-seasoned chicken and delicate tips, everything on the menu is top-notch. If you find yourself on Sibley, be sure to give Wilma's a try - you won't regret it! While the 40-minute wait may seem long, good things come to those who wait. However, rejecting customers' requests to wait outside due to the current climate is not ideal. The food remains excellent, but customer service could use some improvement in these times. Kudos to the artist for the beautiful outdoor art! Well done.
So far just waiting to see what the buzz is about here in Dolton.
