The Abbey Grill - Fall River

Service super; food was very good; Wine list was disappointing. Only an Italian red for an Italian restaurant made little sense and it was a sub par Chianti. Need better and selective RESERVE ITALIAN REDS!!!

Doug and I went to his birthday. We had reservations, but we sat at the bar. Our bartender was fantastic. Friendly, knowing menu, made a big cocktail, answered all our questions about the menu, just great. I can't even TALK about how fabulous the food was! Before the return!

I thought this was a wonderful little spot! The waiter filled us in on some of the history (Lizzie Borden's church, Aerosmith shot a view there (Crazy . The food was amazing, the waitstaff was friendly and kind. Definitely recommended.

We went on a double date and had tickets to the movies after. We thought we had given ourselves plenty of time but wound up having to rush to get our check as soon as our food came. We were finished with our soups before our server even took our food order. He was severely under trained and had ZERO help. There was a female server who had time to stand around with an older woman possibly the manager that night while they looked at our food sitting and waiting to be brought over to us but never offered to help. I was tempted to go grab it myself. He was clearly trying to do his best and somehow kept his composure and professionalism the entire time. Even with the absolute worst service I’ve ever experienced, I would go back for the food which was nothing short of absolutely amazingly delicious!! I had the braised short ribs, my fiancé had the chicken saltimbocca, the other guy had the cowboy pork chop and my friend had a pasta dish. We all tried each other’s food and the ribs won. They’re the best I’ve ever had especially with the mushroom risotto. The other meals are also worth going back for... just hoping it was a weird night and this isn’t how they run the restaurant every Saturday night.

Server may have been new but he needed help. Didn’t know the menu well. The food was excellent!
