I opted for the beans and rice, which were claimed to be vegetarian. The server needed to check on that for me, which always raises my suspicions. Regardless, the dish turned out to be quite tasty. It was served with soup, but since there were no vegetarian options available, my boyfriend chose the corn chowder, which he found quite good, and I enjoyed his salad. He ordered a pasta bowl that came with crab and shrimp. He mentioned the crab was real, not imitation, and he polished off the entire dish, saying it was good—he seldom rates anything higher than "good." Overall, the food was plentiful, served piping hot, and delicious. I think I would need to try a few more menu items before deciding whether we would return frequently if we lived in the area.
Fantastic restaurant with an outstanding location and delicious vegan choices. We especially enjoyed the French toast, chocolate chip pancakes, and the Veggie Bennie.
If I could, I would give this restaurant 7 stars. The service was incredibly good and friendly. The prices were reasonable, and the food was fantastic, presented beautifully. When we left, there were only two people managing the place; I believe Jack was one of them, and he handled all the delicious dishes with a warm demeanor and great care. As I mentioned, the food was delightful and made me feel like I was dining at someone's home. Keep up the great work, team!
"We visited this restaurant for breakfast for the first time, despite seeing some not-so-great reviews. We decided to give it a try since we parked nearby. I have to say, the salmon crepe was excellent! The eggs were cooked perfectly..."
The food and service are average. With so many excellent restaurants in Fernandina, I wouldn't recommend spending your time here.
