Definitely will not be going back. The brisket was over cooked and to tough to chew, beef jerky has more tenderness. The texas toast was greasy, fries were soggy, mac n cheese was terrible. Not to mention it took over 30 minuets after ordering just to get this so called food out.
At about 1 1:30 pm there was one other person in the dining room, which should have been a clue. The good: baked beans and collard greens where actually very good. The absolutely barely inedible: super greasy, almost all fat and hard as leather brisket. Absolutely, the worst bbq I 've ever had and probably ever will since I won 't be back. This couldn 't have been a simple oversight by the cook since he/she could not have been busy at all, to look down on the plate which was made up mostly fat. The woman at the counter was fairly nice though and she did bring out a bit more of the leathery brisket for me to chew on.
Like others, I'm sorry to write a low review of a local place but it's just the truth. I ordered brisket, mac and cheese, and beans. The included garlic bread was greasy but fine, and I did like the baked beans. Just the right amount of tangy and sweet. But the brisket was dry as could be, more like unseasoned beef jerky. It tasted as if they sliced it hours ago and it sat in a warmer. The Mac and cheese was disappointing. Pasta was over cooked and broken apart to where I could hardly tell the original pasta shape. Too salty and the color was unappetizing. They need to improve some of their processes and recipes.
Drove all the way here for it to be closed at 6pm on a Wednesday :(Tried again and they were closing, shame the name is bbq, it should be billy bobz breakfast with a chance of bbq.
