Carol and other staff were amazing as always but I'm sad that halyards will no longer be out date night pick We didn't even call it “date night “ we called it “taco night” and this had become very special to us We would even get them to go during covid when halyards was closed and eat them in the car. I hope they re consider
Never reserve a high-top table for two. The food was outstanding. Our waitress was hurried/not friendly and we were set next to the bar and the outside door. The waiters and waitresses were constantly walking by us-in and out the door-which caused a draft causing it to be cold. We will return, but NOT reserve a high-top 2 person table. The table where we set should not be used. You could see the TV and the traffic by our table was too much.
My shrimp and grits was the best I've ever had! My mom got the burger and she really enjoyed it. The only thing that wasn't perfect was it was very noisy, but that isn't the restaurant's fault. I would love to eat there again next time we visit the island.
Great atmosphere. Oysters were so fresh, shrimp and grits and fried chicken entrees were so so good. Creme brulee was light with a crisp exterior. Very nice meal. Charles, our server, was excellent knew the menu well, very friendly and did not rush us as we were stretching out the night.
The oyster starter was not acceptable. The oysters were so small you could barely pick them up with a fork. I mentioned this to our server John. Would not order oysters at Halyards again.
