The owner is a wonderful person. Our server, Jose, was really friendly and helpful. The hooks they have are quite clever. Make sure to try their lamb and chicken kebabs; it's authentic Kurdish cuisine!

I have never felt mistreated by the owner or the staff, who express their love for our country. I know the owner and her family, and I’ve been friends with them for nearly 10 years, sharing many social outings together. This is not an anti-American establishment; the food has always been prepared to my satisfaction, and the staff has consistently been warm and welcoming.

Delicious food and a fantastic atmosphere! The only downside is that smokers can often be found alongside hookah patrons. Other than that, everything about this place is wonderful! Be sure to try the Gyro Wrap—it's absolutely incredible!

I love this place. The owners, servers etc. are so friendly and attentive. They feel so welcome and like family. And don't even let me start eating. All right. It's like cooking at home, but better. Recommend everything in the menu. I haven't found anything yet! Love to walk and see someone from every walk of life here and all conversation partners. There were many people who were just beginning conversations and really want to know each other. You can even sit and read a book with a pot of tea, or take a drink and pick up with friends or even see a game or hear good music. Super cozy and fun atmosphere. Don't know another place in town like that. Very recommended.

I'm not one to typically leave a review but I feel this one is well deserved. My My fiancé and I don't get too many nights out but when we do we love visiting Social as the drinks and food are amazing. Not only is it a fun vibe, good music and feels clean and safe (especially during the pandemic) but the staff is truly incredible. Anytime we've ever gone to Social they have been so welcoming and accommodating. I've learn this is a local family owned business and maybe that's why we love it so much. Anytime we visit we're always greeted as if they are excited to see us. I often see them walking around and building relationships with other customers as well which is a really nice feeling. There aren't too many places to go out in Harrisonburg but Social is hands down one of our favorite go to spots! If you're local and looking for a fun night out or just visiting the area I highly recommend stopping by and checking them out!
