I really wanted to like this restaurant despite the mixed reviews, but unfortunately we both left the feeling as if we had just wasted a lot of money for the least pleasant experience of our three-day trip to healdsburg. there are many other great restaurants in this area that I would recommend about this.
I wanted to go to barndiva for a few years and was thrilled to get a reservation while we are friends in the opposite. Unfortunately, it was a bit disappointing. they are moved to a prix fixe model that is in order, and have done their best to the allium allergy of my friend that we appreciate. but if they do, they really have to nail the service, and they don't. it was half an hour between the curses (why? they knew what we would order! and the dinge really started to pull. there were some great differences in the teller size that seemed somehow crazy: the first cure was a choice between a Radicchio salad and a cross, and the salat was kind of massive, while the cross was just a few bites. three of the four curses were like that, and the last one was asked if we wanted to dessert. it was a request of the prix fixe, and while it was late, that was the restaurant did (we sat at 7:45 . the check was automatically set with a 20% size. eating was good, but I can't say it's an experience I would recommend.
While the atmosphere is beautiful and the service was good, I can't recommend it here. eating is expensive for what they get, and a few of us still have hunger. the croque-matta seemed to have more substance, but the pastry trio (which they did not end with the croissant) and the apple-knödel should be more of an appetizer or dessert than an escape.
My wife and I really enjoyed our dining experience. -Service and food were both excellent
Pork Chop was under cooked and inedible, the wine was corked, service was very bad
