Although my burger was very good, the chicken breast of my man was extremely dry and was not very seasoned (salt and pepper). I am also very concerned for their green parchment that is a raw egg (my understanding is that it is always so lightly cooked, but still, over) and drilling. the mac and the cheese were very good and seasonal super, although we did not expect it to come out in two long log sections. also the part did not seem fair for the cost of the side. still the mac and bee the show stolen. this restaurant does not necessarily present itself as a soul food restaurant, but the menu supports it. this soul food lover was disappointed. sad that they close their doors, but I'm afraid this restaurant idea was a bit for me.
What a shame to lose this great place! best wishes for their success in California
Loved it! We met the owner (we didn’t know it at first) but she was lovely and so was the service and food.
Really disappointed that this place has dropped so far from the wonderful food they used to serve. Probably won’t come back.
We had a 6:30 reservation on a Friday and were pleasantly surprised at the at the plentiful availability of tables anyway. By the time we left, nearly every table was full with people obviously enjoying their meal and time together. It was our first time in and the food, service, and ambiance certainly didn’t disappoint. We’re looking forward to our next visit already!
