The Durham - Kingston

If you’re going along looking for a “best of British’ food menu, you might be disappointed. While the food is good it’s a standard pub food menu. Beer selection is ok and service good. Seems to be just missing the mark on the British pub thing.

We haven’t had service like this for a long time. Our server was really attentive, when there was a small issue with our food it was replaced immediately with much apologies and offers of additional drinks and food the burger was under done). Other staff members asked continually if we needed anything. When we were paying we even got a recommendation for brekkie. A great place with great food and fantastic service. Thanks to the team at Durham. Almost forgot, the beer paddle was terrific and great value.

The photos looked very inviting but didn't deliver. We waited a very long time for our meals and then one meal was incorrect. So 3 of us had finished our meals before the 4 th person received their correct meal. Prices were okay. Maybe we caught them on a bad night?

We've been going semi regularly to the Tuesday Trivia Nights which are great fun but the food is very good the salmon is very good and a special chicken rendang exceptional!

We have been several times and last went along as a party of 9 for Trivia night, great fun and good food.
