The variety and ability to mix and match various meats and sides is great. Nashville hot chicken is the closest thing you can get to Nashville up north. Brisket has great flavour, and I was given a variety of fattier and leaner pieces. Don't get me started on the ribs. So good. Fell off the bone and melted in my mouth good. The baked beans were cooked and rendered within pork fat and had the most amazing smokey flavour. Lets not forget the details of a buttery cornbread and pickled onions on the side. Although pricey, I understand the value of every component added to my platter!
My new favorite smokehouse, and I 've been to a few!! It 's no wonder they were featured on Food Networks 'You Gotta Eat Here '! Loved the vibe of this place, they smoke everything themselves every day, and have their own signature sauces. Today we stopped in for lunch and had the pulled pork sandwich and brisket sandwich. Pulled pork was amazing and this is the best brisket I 've ever eaten!! Sides were bomb too, but the smoke is what 's important and they nail it. Portion sizes are hardy, and prices are reasonable. If you 've not been here yet, what are you waiting for?!
Went as a group in order to get the family platter. We got the brisket, ribs, sausage, and pulled pork. All the meat were extremely juicy and flavourful, the sauce really elevated it. The sweet potato fries were worth the upgrade, and I especially liked the Mac and cheese. Fried chicken was also cooked and seasoned nicely. I was tempted to say the waffle was too small but in fact it was the chicken that had huge portions. Service was very friendly as always. Love this place.
I would give this restaurant a rating of 4.5 out of 5. The standout dishes were the sides and brisket, which were both excellent. I also tried the ribs and pulled pork. The brisket was delicious, the pulled pork was above average, but unfortunately, the ribs were not as tender as I would have liked. Despite this, the portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. Overall, a good dining experience with a few minor hiccups.
The atmosphere is fantastic, cozy, and exactly what you would expect from a smokehouse. The food was good but not the best smoked meat I've ever had. The flavors were excellent but everything was a bit dry. The sides were delicious, especially the sweet potato fries and brussel sprouts. It's a bit pricey, around $40 per person. If you're in the area, it's worth a visit, but not worth a long drive to get there.
