The worst part was that they forgot to make our shake, but we decided to stay quiet and just eat our food quickly. The service was terrible and the paninis had rubbery, frozen chicken that was hard to bite into, so we ended up not eating them.
The food at this restaurant is excellent. It's my favorite place to go for salads. Their mango habanero salad dressing is amazing, although it's pretty spicy. Their smoothies are better than Nektar and Tru Bowl. The music is loud, like at Nektar, but the service is always friendly. Elaina, the manager, is the best. I introduced my kids to Chopd and now they love it. Just a tip: the Chopd in La Mirada is much better than the one in uptown Whittier.
Similar to Subway but with healthier options! You can customize your own salad or wraps. Their smoothies are delicious! Just a heads up, they currently close at 3pm due to Covid restrictions.
I would have posted a 1 star but the smoothie I ordered was actually tasty even though it wasn't thoroughly blended. The staff was extremely unorganized and not the most professional. I had placed a to go order and they said 30-40min wait. For a salad??Then when I got there and let them know my to go order name they started my order while I was there and then mid order theystarted taking other people who walked in and serving them. At least 3 people got their food before mine (when I had orderedbefore) and I sat there while my food was just there waiting for me. Not only that but they couldn't get my order right and Ihad to remind them multiple times what my order contained. Then when I finally sat down at home to enjoy my salad there was toomuch dressing and you could tell either that they didn't wash the greens thoroughly or used spoiled greens. Almost every bitetasted like dirt. Wasnt too happy with this experience and wouldn't go back and would not recommend to my friends or family.
Very impressed. The detox #1 is delicious and healthy. Beets, carrots, apple, spinach, and celery. The South of the Border wrap is completely customizable. If you like spicy, ask for the cilantro chipotle sauce. The decor is simple and trendy. Parking iseasy. I recommend getting there before noon to beat the lunch rush.
