Can't really comment on the food, although I did have a chocolate croissant one trip...it was more or a brioche though...still quite delicious. I'd imagine it's gets quite busy in the spring/summer, but in the winter (when we visit) we've never had trouble grabbing a table.
Except for a pretty ordinary pastel de nata, we only got drinks from here. One of the best places for Sangria (one place better) and Ginja at the end of the night, come rain or shine. We had tea, almond liqueur and soft drinks over the 5 times we turned up. Great view and a belter of a place to people watch...
Portas do Sol is my birthday tradition. I've never eaten there or drank anything other than champagne so this review is for that and the atmosphere. The champagne is fairly priced, and a small bottle that's exactly half the size of a big one is exactly half the price. This is a birthday win! The view is great, the place gets a lot of sunshine and I recommend it to anyone who's got a similar birthday champagne habit as me.
Em dias de sol e calor, uma esplanada com uma bela vista e um excelente café.
Fizemos um pequeno lanche aqui com vista para a bela Lisboa. Obrigado
