Station West Grill - Mandan

Food is good, servers and staff are very friendly and helpful. Very laid-back, casual/relaxing atmosphere. Portions could be bigger for the price you pay but the taste/flavor and menu options make up for it. Cowboy Bites App are awesome! Best burgers in Bis-Man area and so many options! Lots of weekly and daily specials to fit your wallet. Great drink, cocktail and beer selections available. Great place for family or friends to dine out, you won't be disappointed.

I am changing my 5 stars for the lobster rolls we had last summer down to 1 star (as I can't give it a zero) for no service today. We walked in today, were told to sit anywhere. We sat on the high tables but moved as there was a crying toddler behind us. The waitress knew we moved to another table. We waited for 20 minutes and nobody waited on us, they waited on the table next to us and looked at us, but not a word. We left and sorry to say, not sure if we are going back. The Lobster Rolls and homemade chips are absolutely WONDERFUL!! Lobster is shipped from Maine. The staff are so nice and we enjoy our visits! Thank you for providing this delicious meal!!

Had a very unpleasant experience here with the manager/owners daughter Waiting an hour and 25 minutes before even getting our food. We actually received the bill before the food. A friend (not waiter, literally a customer) of ours actually had to deliver food to the boys and other families that were with us bc he saw it waiting on the counter. I understand restaurants get busy! But this was a little much. We asked to just pay the sodas and leave but then the food came out. I took two bites and it was warm on the outside but cool on the inside. Waitress said it was impossible bc she just saw it come off the grill so I’m not sure how that could’ve happened. It wasn’t hot at all. The fries were cool/lukewarm temp enough to give to my daughter right away. My husband did not eat his food as it was cold (tho the sauce with it was warm). We asked to just pay what my son and daughter and the drinks but she began arguing with my husband and being very sarcastic which I feel is not the way to conduct business. Even if it’s really busy. We would’ve understood if we got a little service but she barely spoke to us and was more focused on the other tables. I cannot help to think this was a race thing as I am Half Mexican and my husband is asian. The rest of the families there (our friends and their kids) were Caucasian. She comped a friend of ours meal bc she was being slow but was sarcastic and rude to us when asked? The owners of this restaurant should really reconsider having their daughter as a manager if she can’t control her emotions against certain people like that bc we were understanding until her attitude. I’m just glad my daughter wasn’t old enough to feel there was a difference bc I really don’t see why we were treated any different when we acted and ordered the same? Update: to reply to the owners comment: we were showed the partly comped meal receipt and I can post a photo if needed. I’m not sure how we were uninformed when we saw our good friend delivering food to our own table.

Ordered food Saturday afternoon, super nachos and a French dip sandwich. Super nachos apparently according to station west does not come with cheese ... that's super!! Then the French dip sandwich yuck, the meat was either 3 day old dry loose meat of some kind pilfered from a beef jerky bag, or the restaurant believes this was quality roast beef. As for the dip portion tasted like straight soy sauce. As you can see the meat is so dry and gross the meat sticks to the top of the bun in the photo.

Horrible service received wrong burger ordered on a take out order and it was not noticed until we got ready to eat at home. They over charged my account by 20%. Nowhere does it say takeout orders subject to a 20% gratitude.
