O restaurante mais próximo no hotel ficamos e não encontramos melhor nas proximidades! 5 estrelas, feijoca, moelas, vinhas de alho, morcego assado do melhor!!! Sempre a voltar livre!!
My husband wasn’t that hungry, but I was starving... and we were searching for a place to “eat something” which is Portugal sometimes can be hard, one can end up in a normal restaurant only serving big dishes or... sandwiches! And despite being hungry I was not up to any of that. So we risk to stop at the taberna because it had outside the “petiscos” sign and at least some ham and cheese I could expect. It was a surprise from the moment we got in, picturesque, stone like environment, cozy and very small and clearly familiar. The food was what I wanted, small portions, tasty and affordable. I went for the “feijoca” a type of bean cooked with meat, delicious (6,5€ dish) and my husband went for the “vinha d’alhos” pork meat with pickles drown in cooked wine, and a soup (3,5€ and 1,5 respectively) all was flawless! The perfect choice for the situation. And they also sell tradicional cheese, wine, and some serra da estrela items. I really recommend!!!!
Somewhat unattended service with No other table in use! ...mobile addicted server! ...was expecting much more from a tapas bar and at the end... ordinary not fitting in the areas best!
A must visit for a quick, simple but full of flavor cuisine. Easy to find (near Viveiro das Trutas) with car park. Simple and cousy restaurant where one can sample the local cuisine.
