The Ebi-Tempura was large, perfectly fried, and delicious. It's easy to make a basic fried dish, but Hibiki knows how to make authentic tempura. The sushi rolls were also excellent, with the right flavors creating a perfect balance. The gindara (black cod) was expertly prepared, sautéed, and literally melted in our mouths. The udon noodles were flavorful, and the soup was packed with generous seafood, a hit with the older crowd. This restaurant is a simple recommendation for high-quality Japanese cuisine in the Richmond Hill/Markham area.
Many people believe that the food takes a while to be served, but I think it's because they make it fresh right when you order! The prices are pretty reasonable in my opinion. Lunchtime is my favorite time to visit. My favorite part was the sushi, and the dessert served afterwards was also delicious. Not sure why, but it was definitely a tasty treat.
They weren't sure if it was because we were the only Japanese customers, but it took a while to be served. The portions were generous, but the food wasn't prepared in the same way as an authentic Japanese restaurant. The server didn't properly introduce the dishes. However, the restaurant was busy, indicating its popularity in the neighborhood. For a truly authentic Japanese experience, we would recommend Miyabi down the street.
Love everything about this place, mid range pricing. It is actually double the price of Bento box that you would get from Makimono but they have 4 big portions of sashimi. I would go back again to try other food on their menu, it is...really nice that they didn’t hurry us up or bothered us.
I went there with my daughter for a lunch and we order some A la Carte but they waiter brought me a wrong stuff. But the vegetables in my salad were not fresh, the other food was fresh. The receptionist or the owner of this...restaurant was greet me not very nice when we walked to the restaurant but the waiter was nice.
