We had the Autumn Salad, Fettuccine, and the Buccattini with Mushrooms. The salad was fresh and the pasta's were delicious and decadent. For dessert we had the Chocolate Cashew tart. The crust could have had a little more flavor and texture but still very tasty! We love having such a nice restaurant within walking distance of our home.
I read the comments about poor service and it was true. I think the server was doing the best he could. The bar and kitchen were slow. The food was amazing though so set expectations that you will be there for a while and you'll be good. Oh and it is VERY expensive! This is a special occasion kind of place. Unless you are wealthy and patient.
The atmosphere was nice, very clean and interesting layout. There is not a large variety on the menu and the prices were quite high. My wifes meal was not cooked done well for her liking, Mine was not great considering it was two good sized meatballs over thick pasta noodles , we most likely will not dine there again.
Seated at 6:30, ordered at 6:40 but didn't get our dinner until 8:30. Ambience was great but waiter was overwhelmed with the kitchen being behind because of a party. We had to ask for more water, another drink and more bread as we waited almost 2 hours to eat.
We really like La Banca. Great food. With reservations, the hostess sat us but forgot to give us menus or complete table set up. It took about 8 minutes for anyone to serve us. Our first time with the singer who voice is quite good but washed out by volume of backing sound track. Try turning down backing tack raising singer microphone a tad. Many of staff were busting their tails- not all
