The only server on was in the kitchen, so I had to wait until he saw me at the podium. The breakfast menu is pretty much the norm, and I ordered coffee, and the pancake/egg/bacon combo. It came out fairly fast and tasted good. The meal was $10.50 and coffee was $3.50.... Found walking out, I could have had free coffee in the next room.
I wanted to like this place but it was just ok at best. We stayed here prior to an early flight at SFO and they also have car parking and shuttle service to the airport for less then long term parking so it seemed like a no brainer. The motel itself is clean and the people are really nice. We were told by the bartender that the food was really good previously and the reviews were fine. We had breakfast on a Sunday and we were disappointed. I had the Eggs Benedict and the plate was covered in oil, the Benedict was broken. I can definitely live with a broken sauce but the amount of oil on my plate was too much. The eggs themselves looked like they had been cooked in a sheet pan on low and were a bit too cooked but yet slightly runny. My wife had the Joes scramble and she said it was not seasoned. I think if they put a little more effort here this could be better. I will say that the service was awesome, we had no problem there. However as other reviews indicated you could do better just crossing the street. I really hope they can re-evaluate their food and it could be much better.
Summer and I discovered the Terrace Cafe for brunch today when the wait at the Pancake House nearby was 45+ minutes around 11 am. The brunch actually starts at 11:30 am (contrary to the Yelp listing) and we arrived around 11:15 but they sat us and took our drink order. The menu is short but a lot of eggs dishes sounded good. Both Summer and I chose the Spanish omelette with egg whites which included potatoes (inside the omelette), jalapenos, and Swiss cheese plus a delicious sauce. We both used some ketchup and hot sauce too to make it even more delicious. The staff was very nice and the food came out fast. The cafe is part of a hotel but feels separate and is a cute Spanish-style little spot. I may be back!
Our second time here. Conveniently located on the best western property so we walk over for dinner. They were open until 9 pm and we arrived at 8:45. The place was almost empty but they were happy to serve us. I had a hamburger because I wasn't sure I'd be able to get one for the next 3 weeks. It was very good and loaded with all the produce on the fancy side. You get your choice of cheese so I opted for the swiss. And it came with a ton of delicious fries. I could only eat half so I ate the other half for breakfast. Yet again, another successful park and fly experience with the shuttle service the following morning.
I went to Terrace Cafe with a group seniors on a Monday morning. It was pretty quiet and we pretty much got the whole place to ourselves. The service was good and our server was very accommodating to our group and was very polite the entire time. I made a special order for the fettuccine with pesto sauce instead of pesto cream sauce. The noodles were a little over cooked for me but the sauce was fine. Others in my group raved about the salmon. The restroom isn't convenient for those who may have difficulties with going down stairs.
