Certainement l'un des meilleurs restaurant de la région, tout était juste parfait de l'entrée au dessert.
Since we were going to a wedding in Sancerre, we were looking for the perfect place to stay. We found La Chanceliere in Saint-Satur and ended up booking all rooms for the guests. One evening we arranged, with the owners, Nicole and her husband, to prepare a dinner for us and it was absolutely fantastic with Sancerre wine, cheeses, cakes etc. We had a long table on their beautiful terrace and it couldn't have been better. You can look forward to the breakfast, which is absolutely perfect with fresh cut berries in your fruit salad, newly baked baguettes and croissants, ham and cheese, great coffee and tea. It was so good that we stayed for at least for 2 hours every morning. All the rooms have a name and are decorated with a romantic french touch - We lived in a sweet little room facing the garden and the bathroom had both a shower and a nice bathtub.I would very highly recommend La Chanceliere as the perfect get-a-away if you ever want to go visit France, and Nicole and her husband are the sweeetest hosts ever :)
This is Michelin star standard. The food was inventive and exploding with flavour. All three of us had different dishes. All were beautifully presented as well as being culinary delights. Service was fab. If you want to eat like this in the UK you'd have to pay twice as much. 38E for three wonderful courses plus a couple of free tasters each to get us going. GO.
We shared an enjoyable evening at this quaint restaurant. The menu is inventive and the service was excellent. While the cuisine certainly delighted, it did not "wow" us. Hence, the 4 vs a 5.
