If they are looking for modern conveniences, such as a microwave or mini fridge, a beautiful tw or even a closed toilet tank (instead of the exposed sanitary) standard to come, they must manage their expectations. the most modern thing in the room was the super quiet, super cool A/COverall that we enjoyed our stay. the servier staff in the beauclerc and tremain’s tavern was excellent and eating was great. in serious, the portions were large, very fair and even the salmon we had was perfectly cooked and they will not be a better location to foot for all that the historic city center has to offer. We asked a mini fridge by phone before the time to find no note for it in our reservation. I assume we have saved the $5/day fees, which seems to be a little Nickle and dime as in the first place, but the whole thing was badly treated by the recipe. the mold around the door frame in the cabinet was simply rough and needs work the poolbar was not opened due to personal lack. would have liked that the attempt to book a boat tour through the hotel website needs even more in their face statements, that it does not mean if they call the boat tour operator directly to confirm. really, why bother to have it on the website otherwise.
Our journey was wonderful, from beginning to end. christina, at the front desk was welcoming, and with a great sense of humor. had read reviews that mentions a tedious smell in the curse and no accepts like microwaves and coffee. this inn is a historic building over 100 years old. I bet we'd all be a little bit of a must on over 100 years. if they want to fall all the latest, they go to the radisson. guaranteed that they don't have so relaxed a time, came home feeling refreshed. where should I start? justin and mackenzie in tremain tavern, christine in the beauclaire dining room. lynn, the tavern hostess, who has reserved us a table. what an absolute shade. has not met any single person who was not an absolute joy! felt like I had jumped back in time and that was as seen as it was then. so sad to go back to reality. Please note that this property is listed in the historical register and is therefore limited by some updates. isn't that wonderful? I can't wait to go back. our room was spotless, bed and kisses were excellent. a great few nights. the personal was quick to use everything necessary.
All the employees were great. because as old as this place is, he is in fantastic condition. the area is very well maintained and the view is fantastic. we enjoyed the pontoon boat tour around the lakes. the food was good and the bar was excellent. it was a simple walk to restaurants and shops. we will probably visit again.
The outside is picturesque and very picturesque, but this is where it ends. an exit in the room and it is next to the bathroom washbasin. the matratze is so old that I can feel the feathers. paint from the doors. no water in the main hotel. I was told that there was a sales machine in the next building. then I was told I was trying the bar. finally water! also my key hardly worked in the door. had to go into the room every time a few minutes. some serious maintenance needs. I understand that it was built in 1883, but none of my problems are due to it.
Decided to have a girls weekend trip to Mount Dora and was excited to stay at the Lakeside Inn. The landscaping is quite nice. The service we experienced in both dining and at the bar were very good. We planned to stay Friday and Saturday night, checking out Sunday morning. That came to an abrupt halt at the onset of the second night. An onslaught of flying insects, termites, infiltrated the room we had. I’ve never in my life seen such a swarm of pests indoors, much less in the room I’m supposed to spend the night in. We immediately went to the front desk to talk about what we could do and since they inn was booked solid, we checked out, and drove the three hour trip back home. The front desk clerk acted very nonchalant, almost as if this was a known issue and refunded the one night and gave a $100 discount for the night we did stay. Not sure where all the bugs were on Friday night. Probably planning their evil plot to infest our room. Needless to say, this inn has some major issues with not only termites but also necessary upkeep such as a good pressure washing and fresh paint, new flooring, paint and furniture in the rooms. This needs to be addressed now or this place will continue to go downhill. It’s sad since the property is situated directly on Lake Dora, and is otherwise in a perfect location.
