If you ask them about the area, they will happily share their knowledge and keep you engaged for a while. They offer unique pie fillings, and the restaurant is conveniently located near the Mary Poppins statue.
Make sure to visit this charming countryside café during your travels in the area. The food is delicious! Just be prepared to wait a bit, as the staff is limited when it gets busy. The lamb burger is a standout item on the menu. The fish and chips were perfectly battered and served with a generous portion of salad. Overall, the portions are well-balanced.
Nice coffee in a quiet country town.
What a great place for lunch, Wed 16th. Ordered the Hamburger... their own beef pattie did it for me! Oh as well as the salad, caramelised onion & Smokey BBQ sauce just delicious. If driving through here again, I will be in for sure.
We arrived in Allora wanting to visit Amy's cafe but it wasn't open. We saw the Frog and Swallow was open so we stepped in. It was a very hot day and the aircon was barely coping, but it was still better than being outside. For some reason it took an age to order. Not much movement at the counter. After about 10 minutes the order was taken. My husband is particular with the way he likes his eggs so I asked for the to be cooked "very, very hard."Nearly 40 minutes later the coffees arrived.About an hour after ordering the breakfast arrived. And, you guessed it soft eggs. My scrambled eggs were wonderful, but to get an an explicit order so wrong with my husband isn't right. Not when you are paying Brisbane prices.Overall, enjoyed my breakfast, but my husband's was simply not as requested despite emphasising twice, and the wait was too great.Good bones but needs work on customer service.
