One of our crowd remembered visiting a few years ago, so three couples wandered in. The bar contained a mixture of locals and tourists. The atmosphere was good and got even better when one of the owners took out his guitar and entertained us with a mixture of music, flamemnco and some classics. The tapas was excellent and the Prawn Pil Pil, as good as any you will ever eat. wE STAYED FOR A FEW HOURS AND LIKE SO MANY BARS FREQUENTED BY THE LOCAL POPULATION WAS BRILLIANT VALUE FOR MONEY. aGREAT CHANCE EVENING.
It's always a pleasure to be at La Mariposa, it's very friendly and Josephine and Antonio are very welcoming hosts.
Had an excellent savoury seafood spaghetti her while waiting for my friends Bill and Andy who were elsewhere that evening. It took a long time to prepare even though there was only one other table occupied but it was sure worth waiting on. A very generous portion with loads of prawns and other seafood. Bill and Andy arrived a bit later and Bill borrowed Antonio's guitar and started playing some tunes which went down very well with the bunch of locals that has arrived earlier. Highly recommended.
Called here after visiting other tapas bars in area this was a bit different to others and the tapas was nice we will return
The guitar players and the good tapas made our evening complete. Nice owners and nice customers. Mostly Spanish guests. Good to be here.
