I love Peruvian food and I am always excited to try new restaurants.Atmosphere and decor can best be described as a cross between 1990s New England college town pizzeria and community room in a local senior independent living environment. Staff was friendly but service was awkward and slow and discordant. All the appetizers arrived at different times. Food Service 101 guys. There are so many moving parts to coordinate a successful restaurant all of which add layers of cost and narrow an entrepreneur’s margin but in such a competitive environment (plenty of restaurants within a 5 minute radius) you will need to start from scratch, invest in structure, cleanliness, renovation and decor. We ordered a few appetizers to keep us busy while we studied the menu, which gave us time to discover the roach infestation in the fluorescent lighting fixture above our heads. We paid the bill , left and ate dinner elsewhere.
Food is good but service and decor is lacking. I think it's the best Peruvian food in town though. Chicha Morada is very good there.
I am sorry to say it, truly, but it didn't meet my expectations. Not even close. The person taking the order messed it up, we asked for 2 salads, she brough only 1, we asked for a dish to share the one salad she brought, she never brought the dish, I had to go to the counter to get it, what they call mixed salad, is just a bunch of iceberg lettuce, 2 slices of tomato and 1 bit of avocado. After I placed my entrée order, she came back to tell me they didn't have the kind of meat I was asking for, so I had to change my choice and was very disappointed with the lack of flavor. It was a very disappointing meal.
Screaming kids but food is really good and waitress was great even though her English wasn't amazing.Food: 5/5
Great food every time I’ve eaten there. I just hope that doesn’t change, cuz Peruvian restaurants are notorious for being inconsistent.
