It was essentially spaghetti with tomato sauce. The pizza was more like a quiche with a thick dough. Overall, in terms of value for money and considering the limited options like tuna on the menu, I would rate it three stars.
I am writing this review out of frustration. I have only dined at this restaurant once and tried just one dish, but it was a disappointment. I ordered the Pasta alla casa for $5.50 because the owner claimed it was vegan. To my dismay, it was not. It was just plain noodles with no sauce. I could have bought the same noodles at the market next door for 30 cents.
We enjoyed a late lunch at this charming restaurant in the heart of Otavalo. The menu primarily consisted of vegetarian dishes, with a few exceptions like tuna, but we requested vegan options. We tried a tasty quinoa soup with vegetables, warm garlic bread, a fresh salad, and maracuja juice. Everything was delicious! The owner was also very kind and accommodating.
Drive on the road from the market a few blocks, on the right side. Limited menu of sandwiches and salads, many articles have tuna in them. Probably better ways.
This is a nice little place in a patio. They have various stuff and the sandwich I had was great. Unfortunately the bread was not vegan, but that is usual in South America. She even offered me a glass of water for free.
