I'm always passing this place. Finally, it was immediately impressed by the size of the Apple Frits they had on the display. The person who took my order was very personal and told me about the local coffee they sell, she had a great understanding of what was sold.
Always a place to stop when Im in the area! Last time I was there I got a kolache and the taste was fantastic but it needed more cook time, had some raw dough on the inside. Can't go wrong with the donuts though.
I just want to say thank you to the owners/employees of Cosmic Donuts. I eat from here just about everyday with my fiance. It is consistently delicious and filling and the customer service and the appreciation they show to their loyal customers just puts a colossal smile on my face. Although that smile is no where near as colossal as their apple fritter, you've been warned lol. Also the egg sandwich, kolache, every donut/pastry and every coffee on the menu are mine and my fiance's personal favorite when it comes to breakfast. My only complaint would be that they aren't open on Monday's, if you need someone to run the show on Mondays I'll volunteer as tribute because I know the menu inside and out. And everyone should start their week off with Cosmic Donuts!
Grabbed a few donuts to go, and Im not really sure if perhaps I was there on an off day or what, but it just wasn't good. The somoan was so bad I had to trash it the icing tasted like it was artificially flavored and not in a good way. Cake donut was dry. Glazed was OK but those are pretty hard to mess up. The person working there seemed like they didn't want to be there. By noon there was not a great selection so perhaps going earlier in the morning is the thing. Sad to say I don't think there's a decent donut place in town and you've got to go more towards Tampa.
