Malee's Thai On Main - Phoenix

Malee's is my absolute favorite restaurant. I adore the tropical pineapple, the different curries, and the pad Thai. The pandan dessert is both exceptional and unique. I visited last week, and I'm going back today to try something new. I'm sure I'll love it!

I was really let down! I ordered the tamarind chicken, but it was overwhelmingly sweet, and I couldn't finish it. I had to eat it with a lot of rice just to balance out the sweetness. Naturally, I had quite a bit left over, so I asked for it to be wrapped up to take home. They gave me the chicken and rice, but when I opened the rice container at home, I was shocked. For $13, I expected more than just a half-full container of rice! I just don't understand how the manager doesn't see how this can make a customer feel undervalued, especially over a small amount of rice that wouldn’t hurt the restaurant to provide. If I had eaten it there, they surely would have given me more! This experience was really disappointing, and I don't think I'll be returning to Malee's again.
