Taverna49 - POMPEI

We ate here on our first night in Pompeii as it was closely situated to the hotel we were staying. I couldn 't find the opening time on trip advisor or their website, so we arrived a little early and were asked to comeback about 7pm. When we did return we were met with a pleasant greeting and a waiter named Nallo spoke good English and helped us order from the menu which was in Italian. The fritta selection for two to start was a lovely choice of mixed fried aperitifs generally consisting of potato, pasta and tomato topped bread. The main courses we opted for were both pasta dishes, one consisting of local yellow tomatoes, white wine and olives whilst the other was a tufoli pasta with butter, olive oil, aubergine and local fresh grated mozzarella. Both very nice. The local 'house ' white wine was also good and reasonably priced. Worth a visit and good for families with young children.

A short walk from our hotel, fantastic pizza and dessert. And the local wine recommended to us was fantastic. Worth a visit.

A lovely place with true fresh authentic dinners, service was impeccable and no shortage of experience just off a main street near Scafati.

Semplicemente perfetto, sia in cibo, servizio e prezzo. per tornare assolutamente.

Esperienza unica e soddisfacente, prodotti di qualità dall'antipasto al dessert, abbiamo preso un tagliere di formaggi accompagnati da miele e marmellate abbinati ad una di carni con una mozzarella da gr fresco, formaggi dal gusto sublime e varietà uniche che non avevo mai assaggiato, carni di qualità e dolce prosciutto parmigiano che si è sciolto in bocca, molto piacevole la cordialità e la preparazione del personale che ci ha portato davanti al banco
