Ansitz Kematen - RENON

This is the third time, after years, that we go to this hotel for short holidays. We met the same kindness and friendliness, the same abundance and quality of food, the same cleanliness and the wonderful silence for our rest! All framed by the beautiful view of the Sciliar and the woods. As well as the full moon (of 26 December) lying on the tip of the bell tower of the chiesina. To recommend absolutely and we will definitely return.

Spectacular view of the Dolomites, excellent cuisine. Very sunny even in winter. Friendly welcome.

Luck was our way, when the restaurant we originally planned was only serving their own hotel guests, and we had to make other plans. GPS set to this restaurant, and arrived to see the setup of a marriage party. But we were welcomed to come in and have dinner. 1 word: DANG! The steak we had served was perfect, despite of the huge size of the thing. Ambience was great, staff very friendly and helpful. Also, the staff was working really well together, as we had 4 different waiters, as well as the owner at our table, but all went very smooth. From what I recall, the price of the meal was a bit higher than at other places we ate, but it was well worth the money! I even forgot to mention that a look across the garden is to die for. Beautiful views of the mountains. For me, a must-go-again when I'm in the area!

Overlooking the valley and the far-away mountain chains, the location is just marvellous! -As are the dishes! Regarding the costs, there is more to wish for...

Stopped here for snacks . This restaurant/hotel sits on the top of a mountain and the views from their outdoor patio are fantastic. We enjoyed the best apple strudel we ever tasted, delicious cakes and a terrific americano coffee. The wines and local beer were good as well. Highly recommended.
