I stayed at TravelLodge and found this restaurant just around the corner. It appears to be a family-run business. I ordered the full English breakfast for £4.50, which I felt was a great value. It included a poached egg, 2 rashers of bacon, 2 sausages, a hash brown, tinned tomatoes (which I didn't particularly enjoy), mushrooms, and a slice of toast. The sausages were not of great quality, and I would have been willing to pay more for better ones. The Americano coffee was very weak, and could have used less water. The staff, particularly a nice young man, seemed to be helpful and friendly. It looked like his mother was in the kitchen doing the cooking. Overall, I recommend giving it a try.
This restaurant may not look like much, but the food and service are top-notch. I tried the mini-breakfast and it was the perfect way to start the day. It was prepared with care and tasted just like a homemade meal. I will definitely be coming back.
Called in here for a late breakfast recently. It's quite a small cafe in an old building with some original features. The guy who works there was very friendly and made everyone feel welcome. I opted for a cheese and tomato toasty which was very tasty and my husband had the English breakfast. Altogether with two drink it came to just under £10. They also do very reasonably priced jacket potatoes, soup etc. Well worth a visit.
I am currently sitting here reflecting on my experience of enjoying a delicious mini vegetarian breakfast with brown toast. The dish was flavorful and not greasy at all. The staff members were excellent. I will definitely be coming back in the future.
