The Barley Beach House - Rye

My food was not well prepared. the fish and the chips were very heavy and had a light taste like rancid oil. I took off the dough and ate the cod. my beer wasn't cold, it wasn't great. I think the other diners were in order with their food. I would never order the fish and chips again. prepare it better or get it from the menu.

Everything was fantastic except for the temperature. It was so cold that diners had to keep their coats on. It's a shame! The restaurant really needs to address the temperature if they want to keep customers coming in.

We were not aware that it was music night at the restaurant, and while the music was good, it was loud and we had to raise our voices to hear each other. Our waitress was excellent, but seemed overwhelmed as there were several tables both inside and outside. Despite being very busy, the food was delicious.

I had a great experience at The Beach House, especially on their beautiful outdoor deck overlooking Long Island Sound. I opted for a Caesar salad with grilled salmon, which was perfectly cooked as I had requested. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the salad dressing. It was thick and seemed to taste like it was store-bought from a lower quality chain restaurant, such as McDonald's. I believe the restaurant would greatly improve by making their own dressing in-house.

Wonderful views, great service. Food was okay- vegan options limited. Pricy for what it was. Overall , we knew we would be paying for the ambiance so the prices weren’t unexpected. Edwin our server was phenomenal
