We had the extreme luck to book our hotel equidistant between the two cities cab san lucas or cabo wabo as we called it) and san jose del cabo. After we discovered what was a little jewel san jose, we decided to go to dinner. there are every night. it was a ritual to spend a day on the beach relaxing and swimming in our pool and then relaxing over a lush dinner in one of the delightful restaurants of san jose. we would normally look over the menu from outside the restaurant and then make a decision and it was generally spontaneous. one of these evenings, where we stayed before encuentro 4 and decided to go inside and choose a table. this funky bistro at 221 -b guerrero y los is only with appell oozing. the hotel is located in olde town, it is the perfect place to eat before the Thursday night art walk that attracts so many people into the opposite. the colored wooden table complement the charm of encuentro 4 and after the owner alan luquin r. they are all handmade. the local artwork also complements the ambiente and the river of the restaurant, as it is best displayed. the menu offers a series of delicious selections from the land and the sea and despite my partner vegan, the kitchen had no problem in preparing delicious entrees for us. a series of appetizers formed our interest as we had a hard time, between mustels with chorizo, clams, grilled octopus, beef tongue and broiled bone marrow. we finally decided on an encuentro cuatro orchard salad $90mxn) and the zucchini soup $85MXN. both cleaned ultra fresh ingredients and exploded with zip aromen. we were impressed by the crispy plastered greens and beet dressed with a sortiment of lenses and cous-cous. the zucchini soup had a creamy heat provided by some hardened seasonings and a chaiyote relish and was also refreshing. after the relaxation with some local wein we moved on to a grilled octopus tostado entree and a nice melange that the kitchen so cleverly prepared for my date. I don't often have otopus, but that was a joy to fight. I could consume each of the four toastados delivered on a wood screed. it tasted as if it had just been picked out of the sea, so certain fragile nuance that should have fresh seafood. the special wheel plate we received was also a big hit. so much that I barely got a taste, as it quickly disappeared when I flew on my seafood consumption. do not miss the opportunity to visit this picturesque but extremely welcoming facility. Hopefully it will be in a night in which sue is in the kitchen, because she will certainly not disappoint you. we look forward to the next visit.
We were overwhelmed by the jealous. the charming and talented chef prepared a tailor-made meal that over expectations.
We visited san jose from cabo so did not know any restaurants there, but above the main square was a real foundation. we loved the quirky furniture mainly from pallets color washed in a beautiful blue. service and eating were really good and super...prices also. we loved the local baja beer.
The food, the drinks and the staff were all fantastic at this new restaurant in San Jose. Everything was great but the seafood risotto was world class . Also really liked the music they played! Very reasonable prices as well. Try it you won 't be...sorry!
