I decided to give them a chance after I heard they were under new ownership, so I stopped in a few times to take the breakfast away to work. the bagels are really unusable. they were stale, but also somehow the toaster managed to leave the bagel still cold. the fruit, yoghurt and heifer flakes are overpriced for what they get. the tea shades are dirty as if they can't make them. couple that with service, which is about as enthusiastic as being a someone with a root canal and open, they go somewhere else.
I was in the La Prep in Saskatoon. I stopped yesterday for What USED to be delicious quiche. I had a mushroom/truffle quiche. For 5.99 it was a small slice then when I took a knife to it it was like cutting a steak. It was hard and tasted like it had been on the shelf for the whole week. The pastry tasted like it was freezer burnt. I could not believe it. Before The quiches used too be light and fluffy and crispy flaky crust. I was not greeted with a hello, a smile or a thank you. Also the man that served me smelled like he needed a shower. Had an unclean body smell. Definitely not what you want to smell when you order food or drink. Never never will I go there again our recommend it to anyone.
Ordered the fruit bowl which shows tons of different fruit, got a cup of grapes which had mold on most them. The avacodo sandwich was inedible since the avacodo was so far from being ripe, it was rock hard and tasteless. Disappointing in every way.
I've been there more the once and I don't understand how it's lined up out the door. The cream soups taste like rotten milk. The service is terrible. They don't know how to make half the things on the menu. They didn't know how to make the oatmeal therefore they made me choose a premade yogurt parfait instead. They claim they have a gluten free bun but they can't make a simple turkey and swiss sandwich on it and refused to make anything else on it. So why advertise that you have it when your staff refuses to make it?
