The Mexican Firehouse - Saukville

Stopped in with customers for lunch during a recent business trip. The food wasn 't too bad, but the service was nothing to be proud of. When we arrived and were seated, the server who seated us took our drink order immediately. While she was gone, another server came to the table to take our drink order. We mentioned that someone had already taken the order, to which she replied Oh you 're not even my table. Sorry. and scampered away. When the chips and salsa came, there was about 1/2 of a basket for 4 of us the chips were not so great and there was barely enough salsa. She came back with another half basket, but no more salsa. When our food order was taken, it seemed to take forever for the food to arrive. The server came back at least twice during that time to see if everything was OK well, sure, except that we didn 't have any food yet! Then the food came 3 plates. After three of us were served, she excused herself to get more and came back to inform us that the cook only saw 3 dishes on the order and had to make up the last one. So another 5 minutes passed until everyone in the party was served. The first three were only moderately warm by that time. When 3 of the 4 forks were set down toward the end of the meal, back came our server to start clearing the table. To me, this is one of the worst habits that American restaurants do in the name of good service. When one person is still eating and the staff starts shuffling dishes around sort of like saying OK it 's time to go! To say the least, I was not impressed.

Really good food and margaritas. We really liked the cheese sauce, the chimichangas, and the tamales. The menu has changed and is different from the one on Google, so I took photos. Really good, fast service.

Food was flavorless. No condiments offered such as sour cream, Guacamole. Ridiculous price for what we received. I didn't even eat half.

Changed menu, but not for the better. Rice, beans, salsa, even the water tasted off. Old tortilla chips found along the windows. $45 for two meals, $7 of which was just for two lemonades. Taco Bell would have been better.

Place used to have great service food, although the last visit, our cook (not Mexican or able to cook Mexican food) came out to our table high out of his mind and bragged about not making our food. When the food came an hour later it was all poorly cooked seasoned. They said the wait on the food was because our cook OD?d. Hopefully they decide to hire competent adults in the future.
