Make sure to reserve ahead. The food is great. You can tell that the food was made in house and from scratch. I had the veal and it was cooked perfect. The environment was a bit crowded but not a major issue. The staff seemed to all know each other well and were very friendly.
Trattoria Stefano is a VERY good Italian eatery if you ask me! The restaurant is very cozy and has a soft atmosphere to it that is just nice overall and is very clean and spacious inside and out! The service was grade A, friendly and very nice to talk to. The food was great on all ends! Started off with some bread and oil and this neat little raw beef dish with cheese lemon and veggies which was very delectable. My main dish was this scrumptious Veal chop dinner that came with this great Italian cheese noodle side, beats, and greens! I had some VERY good ricotta cheesecake which I forgot to take a picture of.. No complaints, I can see why it's one of the best restaurants in Sheboygan and will probably come here again in the future! Pictures are of the inside and outside of the Restaurant, menu and food, minus dessert!
We had a delicious meal and excellent service at Trattoria Stefano in Sheboygan. That mozzarella was a flavor explosion!!! #AnniversaryDinners
Weekend road trip to Sheboygan led me to Trattoria Stefano. I gotta say this is some of the best Italian food I 've had in a while. They are a full bar restaurant that makes some really good drinks as well, I love their Old Fashion and it complimented my meal perfectly. Service was good but the food was even better. The staff was very knowledgeable on what 's on the menu and the specials as well. I recommend the: Seppie alla Plancha: Pan seared Cuttlefish in a lemony garlic white wine sauce, could not have enough of them! Mussels Special: Similar to the Caldo di Mare, but with some spicy italian sausages. These two dishes alone with bread to dip would be enough to satisfy anyone! I finished off 3 orders of bread because the sauces was pretty addictive. Ossobuco alla Bergamasca: Apparently made the same way for 20+ years and if it ain 't broke don 't fix it. The veal shank was braised until it reached the 'melt in your mouth ' level tenderness. The cherry on top has got to be the bone marrow that comes with the shank. Smear that baby on some bread and you 're in food heaven. Rigatoni Special: A tomato based sauce with chunks of succulent beef cooked to al dente. Everything we ordered was so well put together, the flavors were simply amazing. I highly recommend stopping by for a bite to eat here.
