Maria who is the owner of the restaurant immediately made us feel at home by explaining everything on the menu and even giving us some recommendations based on our conversation which turned out to be excellent choices for us. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Bogota.
We were the only couple eating lunch on a wet Tuesday lunchtime but the service was excellent, staff friendly and the food was freshly prepared in front of us. We had patatas bravas (this was a large portion), octopus and aubergines, all washed down with well chilled beers. They have a brother/hermano restaurant across the road called El Mat and it is also possible to order food from there and they carry it over. Macarena as an area was disappointing but there is a lovely old bull ring to see and we would certainly return.
Revisited this spot after two years. Loved the Octopus..chipirones matter of fact everything was lovely.
Quite expensive to be Bogotà and the quality of food quite low. I was not expecting a great Spanish restaurant, but was quite disappointing
The place is really small (around 5 tables), and the kitchen is right there in view. The food is very good, and have the option to order from their small brother restaurant some other delicious tapas. The options on beverages could be better.
