The waitress laughed and mentioned that the dishwasher was broken, serving our drinks in paper cups without asking. Throughout our visit, the waitress made no effort to clean or tidy up, simply standing at the bar chatting with other staff members. When a customer asked for sugar, she laughed and falsely claimed it was already on the table. Eventually, she begrudgingly took some over to us while passing by numerous dirty tables on her way back to the bar. We overheard her saying she refused certain tasks because she considered them unsafe, such as cleaning and tidying. Fortunately, a different staff member came on duty later and cleared up all the mess.
This place has potential to improve. Upon entering, I was informed by a sign that the kitchen was closed. I had difficulty finding a table that wasn't covered in dirty dishes. When I ordered tea for here, I was told it would have to be in a paper cup due to a lack of clean cups. The cleanliness of the tables and floors left much to be desired, and the glass at the cake counter and overlooking the ski area was so dirty that it was difficult to see through. Given the state of the rest of the establishment, I chose not to visit the bathroom out of concern for my own safety. Overall, there was zero attention to cleanliness and detail here.
I have visited this restaurant several times over the years, and I have noticed that it has been declining in quality. I am surprised that it is still in business. While they have a lot of beer taps advertising good German beer, most of them are out of order with a glass over the handle, and there are only one or two actually available. This has been my experience on multiple visits, especially on Saturdays at 5pm. When I ordered a half pint of the available wheat beer, it had a strong "eggy" smell, indicating that it was not fresh or pleasant. This has happened on previous visits as well, when a staff member behind the bar tried to argue with me that there was nothing wrong with the Erdinger wheat beer (which I know well and could tell was off). I did not order food on this occasion, but previous experiences have not been good, with microwaved meals as others have mentioned. The service is also poor, with lots of staff around but not serving customers promptly at the bar. The atmosphere is lacking as well, with no music and a generally dull ambiance. Save your money and go to a Wetherspoons instead for good, fresh German beer (on tap and in bottles) and similar food at a more reasonable price.
Do you know you actually microwave your pasta dishes to nuclear heat..jeezo roof of mouth still on fire
Back for my morning Mocha and breakfast as I watch my daughter at er freestyle lesson. A great way to start the weekend. The staff are amazing and even remember my coffee order before I ask. A relaxing place to chill …
