I told a server and was asked to go back to the front to see the manager. he asked my name and didn't even ask that I had found one table when he said there were none. we sat right away in a quiet back corner. I had the lobster bisque that was good and had lobster pieces. personally, I think it could have used a few drops sherry. we also ordered the seafood filled jalapenos and they were just terrible. they had everything in them, from seafood to speck, to smoke gouda, but tasted like nothing. then I had the Chilean psychic that was raised and was melted in my mouth. it had a nice, thin crust and delicious savoury taste. the rice and the carrots were forgettable, and I didn't like the pairing, as the texture of the rice was hard as if undercooked. my man had the oysters who were good, and then the boneless rib. it was absolutely delicious, nicely carburized on the outside, and a delicate medium on the inside. he also had the garlic of kartoffels, which were also good, but he said that mine are better. the prizes are ridiculously high, and the steaks are a la carte so that the kartoffels cost extra. but we will probably be back; the lobster bisque and ribeye guarantee it.
I usually don't leave any reviews, but given the price I thought I should. the steaks were the worst steaks we ever had. we tried a strip and filet, both had no taste legit could not even say whether it salt on it (and no salt / pfeffer on the table also). both were ordered medium, one came from medium, while the other was closer to well done. the Charcuterie board and the beverage selection were both good.
Such a great ambiance with delicious food. The rigatoni bolognese was perfect.
The bartender table server were very accommodating for a 1st time group! Good suggestions were also helpful.. we created a charcuterie board, had the flavorful shrimp grits, chicken waffles, mediterranean omelet breakfast sliders! Everyone cleaned their plates! We are already planning our next visit!!
Appetizers took more than 20 minutes to come out. Cocktails took about 15 minutes each round. Steak and pork chop were tasty but they must have been left in the back too long because the medium rare steak was medium and the medium pork chop was medium well. Think twice about the charcuterie, it was disappointing. Portions very small, even for a charcuterie board. You might as well get the cubes cheese from the package and lay it on the board. The ham was inedible because it was so tough you couldn’t bite it or tear it with your fingers or knife. I want to try it again in case our service impacted our experience.
