Osteria A Le Due Spade - TRENTO

Great food with impeccable service (thanks Nicolas). Well deserved rating. From starter (sweetbread), to main dishes (rack of lamb, pasta with fresh mushrooms), to dessert (chocolate mousse), it was delicious.

We had high expectations but left feeling unsatisfied. It started with the amuse bouche of scallop sushi. It didn’t taste fresh. Had the ravioli which was good but not great. The biggest disappointment was the fish main course. Again it did not taste fresh, definitely tasted fishy. Fish can be a tricky thing but this is supposed to be a fine restaurant. If they can’t serve the highest quality ingredients, take it off the menu.

We had not visited Due Spade for two years owing to the Corona virus. -We were surprised to find ownership had changed when we returned in March of 2022. Would the food and service be the same quality? Well. in fact, it was even better! The service is professional and friendly, the restaurant itself is as beautiful as ever with even more outdoor dining, and the food is truly amazing. The menu is very creative, the food is perfectly served, and the wine selection is impressive. The servers are very knowledgeable about the food and the wine. Bravo, Due Spade!
