We were so happy to have found Aquavue Cafe on our morning walk which exceeded our expectations. From the moment we walked...in it was a welcoming environment by the friendly front of house staff. Staff were so bubbly and made eating in with two happy doggos so accommodating. The food was delicious. Both meals were HUGE just what we needed after a 12km walk! Highly recommend
Lovely views of the water, cool breezes , friendly staff and fantastic meals . Barra was cooked perfect
We visited for lunch with our dogs, who were made welcome. The service was prompt and friendly. Meals were a good size and delicious. Lovely view of the beach to relax while enjoying our meal
Running very late for breakfast, we found Aquaview has an all day breakfast menu. We ordered a vegetarian breakfast and a pancake meal. Both meals were great. The pancakes were stacked so high and the bacon delicious and crispy just as we had ordered....Always good coffee
Can you imagine trading a fur coat and a window payne splattered with thick droplets of rain that mock your mood under a canvas of sad tearful sky for a open ever expansive embrace of sand bars kissed by diamond encrusted velvet sea soaked in...splashes of gold then you need to trade your morose Melbourne cafe for a breakfast at Aquaview in down town hervey bay, or should I say beach side. Any cafe restaurant owner would be kissing the toes of what ever angel is bestowed the gratuitous task of looking out of retail and restaurants, and few would take it for granted, few with the exception of one owner of said cafe restaurant, when I approached I was mot sure weather I was losing my intelligence or logic as I could not quite figure out what direction I had to travel in to gain entry, but being a man who loves puzzles I took the challenge on and within minutes I had solved the mystery of Aquaviews ambiguous entry, where I was met with a lecture that seemed more at home being used by a priest than a waiter, but nonetheless I was met with a little note that gave me the next clue to the puzzle, grab a menu and then a seat it said. After sitting for a good ten minutes I asserted my position as untenable and decided to approach the counter which was hiding out of sight from where I was sitting expecting table service but receiving none. I had obviously failed the second part of the quest. After submitting and approaching the counter I had to announce thyneself to the gate master whom was diligently making hot Brews for the other weary souls, I was told to be patient and wait until she was ready, after several clumsy thumping and banging it appeared as if my time had arrived and I was permitted to order. Not wanting to be silenced once again I quickly placed my order and sat back down enjoying the only positive remaining part of my experience, only several minutes later and I too were rewarded with a hot steaming brew and I felt welcomed like as one of the clan of lost and confused, mere moments after that my breakfast came and 14 hours later I'm still revisiting the sweet sickly taste of pre made savoury mince on toast. I paid more than I should have in more ways than necessary. Say what you like about sad sky's but boy do they bring out the best chefs.
