Havhesten - Vadsoe

Very exciting place with views of the Varangerfjord. The food is great with local products. Even local beer. When local lamb melts on the tongue, you realize that what you are talking about is a unique quality. Ladies and gentlemen, this must be experienced. And we used the restaurant several times during our stay in Ekkerøy. With the midnight sun that seems to you, Varanger is. How can we go?

A unique place with great food and ambience. We enjoyed Halibut Steaks and the children swallowed their first-class hand-shaped burgers. Recommended for all!

It is a bit hard outside also in the rain/foam, but wonderfully warm inside. King-Cab section excellent, this was already a filling section. The crab was delicious, the skill is right. The staff was friendly. Nice restaurant.

Cozy place and ok food. But unfortunately that was the only positive. We never understood the menu (6 adults), the waiting time was downright ridiculously long, the service was bad, and we never got so far as to get half of what we ordered (because they hadn't brought it with them..they were 2 employees) yet they stood at the table and wrote down our order. Then we ended up just saying we'll drop it, then we left. All in all, I got a small bowl with about 10 spoons of fish soup..for NOK 280!? a small bowl with a sausage and no potato boats for the youngest, for NOK 140 .. Ridiculously expensive and not worth the visit. Possibly the best/worst restaurant experience I've had.
