We don't find that it lacks in quality whatsoever. We're ordered the following dishes stick to picking from these when we go or order in: Fish Maw soup, Preserved egg pork congee, Young Chow fried rice, Chicken curry, Thick noodles with black pepper sauce, their Moo-Shi (when you order it in order extra pancakes because they give you a TON of filling), Deep fried squid with spicy salt (I crave this on the regular), Shrimp with lobster sauce minced pork, Har Gow, Shui Mai, Steamed beef tripe with scallions ginger, Deep fried shrimp spring rolls (the bomb), Beef with black bean sauce many others. Those are our family's favorites though they never fail. We feel that the food is not Canadianized too much though we are moving to a new city we'll probably still make the hour long drive occasionally to come here! Plus the owners are sweethearts treat their customers great! Within minutes of being seated we always have tea, drinks Fish Maw soup on the table to tide us over until our Dim Sum arrives. I recommend this spot 100%!
Best Dim Sum in Kitchener-Waterloo!. This is my go-to delivery restaurant. We always order the following:<br/ <br/ Hargow<br/ Shui Mai<br/ Tripe <br/ Shrimp spring rolls<br/ Pork buns<br/ Black been beef<br/ Spicy deepfried calamari (the dish that got us addicted! <br/ The scallop lobster sauce (cannot remember the real name <br/ The Yeung chow fried rice <br/ <br/ Do yourself a favor try these things! Seriously we crave CP alllllll the time! One of the first things we checked when we moved to our new home in Waterloo from Kitchener was that CP delivered to the address! I wish I was kidding haha!<br/ <br/ Great food it is always on time.
Very good dim sum. Excellent value. The panfried dumplings weren't the best. Everything else on the menu was very good. Do not hesitate go there to eat.
Good Experience. Although some dishes seem bland, the majority of Crystal Palace's meals contain a unique collaboration of herbs and spices. Perfect sit down for place to share a variety of heaping portions. Decent and TRADITIONAL Chinese food and fair pricing; specially for that late night oriental craving. Their menu is very extensive, and offers the most options in town. Clarification may needed when ordering.
I attended crystal palace with my fiancée for Dim Sum and we were very pleased. The prices are what you would expect and I felt they were more than fair, we ordered more than enough for three people and ended up paying less than 50$. The food was prepared correctly and came in a timely manner. The negatives were some selection, my fiancées favorite shrimp dumplings weren't served and neither were some of my preferred mixed pork dumplings, also the shrimp dimpling we did order came a little over cooked and fell apart when you tried to pick it up. Overall would definitely go back, it satisfied out dim sum craving.
