Bearslake Inn - West Devon

I went to this restaurant for dinner with a friend and had a fantastic evening. We each had three courses and every single one was delicious. The belly pork was particularly tasty and cooked perfectly. We also enjoyed some mulled wine, which was perfect for the chilly evening. Our waitress was very helpful and friendly.

What a shame to have to leave this review. But sadly the lady in charge of the venue was so rude and unaccommodating which spoilt my visit! However, the waitresses were lovely and friendly and the food was delicious.

Had a lovely lunch here with freinds, the food was very good. The only downside was where we were sat in was freezing cold as we were put in a hallway and we were the only table near the front door with no fire or heating. Watch out for the 10% service charge which is automatically added to the bill.

Stayed overnight on way back home to Cornwall. Lovely find, very quirky room, on a bit of a slope, very comfortable bed. Located very close to cycle route 27 which was lovely. Dinner was absolutely superb, very attentive service and the best venison my husband has had in a long time. Will definitely recommend.
