North Side Cafe - Winterset

My wife and I enjoy taking short road trips and exploring local restaurants in different towns along the way. We found this little restaurant in Winterset thanks to Yelp.

My husband and I are in town for the Covered Bridge Festival and decided to stop by this restaurant after reading some good reviews. The cafe has a nostalgic old school vibe, complete with a soda bar and fixed stools.

After spending the day exploring the charming and tidy town of Winterset, we decided to have lunch at the Northside Cafe. Today's specials included butternut squash soup...

Had shrimp in lobster sauce. was very good. the waitress has ripped her **** off and always had a smile. very good job lil lady!

Eating is fresh and hot with generous portions. for party members dishes arrive at different times. Flavours are not so bad.
