As a personal preference, we try to sit up where possible, as it is somewhat more spacious and other moors tend not to close the front door behind them.

The food was AMAZING. The service was excellent, friendly helpful. The owners are very welcoming are more than happy to chat about the history of the building.... Lire plus The food was AMAZING. The restaurant is set in the...original Ivanhoe Fire Station, with the original bricks exposed. Photographs relics from the fire station are on display. The ambiance is enhanced by the open fires. Try the bruschetta, risotto, osso bucco the cannolis. We left feeling very satisfied with our dining experience. And we’ll certainly be returning.

Eventhough the neighborhood is mostly one of immigrants from all corners of the world, the restaurant itself...serves typical Swiss food. The patrons seem to be a good mix of all ages and societal class. The place probably has not changed much since the time it was built some 60 to 80 years ago. It also houses a Wurlitzer juke box that supposedly is still in operation and plays mostly songs that were popular in Germany and Switzerland in the sixties.The place was packed for lunch, but I found a spot at the round community table. The lunch menu consisted of a mere three items. The more diverse dinner menu was not available. Nevertheless, I asked for an item on the dinner menu that was posted in a glass vitrine on the outside wall of the restaurant. First my wish met with a bit of opposition from the friendly waitress. She said she would check with the chef and low and behold I got my Roesti. Overall it´s a fun place and definitely worth giving it a try if you are in the neighborhood.
