Even on a Monday evening, this little ice cream place in a rural hamlet whose main attraction appears to be a state prison had a long line (with clearly marked social distancing tape on the ground). I didn't time it, but it had to be half an hour from when I arrived to when I actually received my shake, and not because the people there weren't working hard. Several locals walked away with trays of a half dozen or more fresh desserts. Besides frozen sugar, this place was also offering disposable masks for sale. I had a mint chip shake. It had an alcoholic tinge as if some serious mint extract had been poured in there, and the chips were semi-sweet, like ones you might use in baking. I am in favor of these decisions, and it was an enjoyable shake. The place also had shaved ice and smoothie bowls so dairy-free would be fine if you're not in to soft serve. Their creations looked impressive. I might have ordered one of the more extravagant sundaes, but I wanted something as quickly as I could get it.
