I would recommend the place for vegetarian and vegan to visit basel, but maybe it would not be my first stop at the next visit.

The “filet fera du Lac” was over cooked and dry, as was the quenelle,...which lacked the sauce which is an integral part of this dish. Worst of all, however was the “filet de boeuf” which my daughter had requested « saignant » and which came back very well done, if not burnt! It took the chef at least 20 minutes to return the dish, this time cooked to “medium” . The desserts, luckily, were delicious. Our waiter, however, was a star and obviously embarrassed for us. Although the restaurant was full and he was very busy, he always gave us special attention. It was a warm evening but very windy beside the lake and we would have appreciated moving to a more sheltered table earlier only after requesting a move after the main dish, we were shown to a less windy spot for our desserts and a liquor kindly offered by our waiter. Finally, the prices at this restaurant are extortionate! Needless to say, we will not be returning.

I opted for a sweet potato tartine served with a honey and goats cheese salad. My wife ordered the marinated...salmon tartine so we could split and compare. Both were simple food well prepared. The service was professional and courteous. In the summer the spray mister keeps the outside terrace nice and cool. Recommended we’ll be back!
