Let me preface by saying I have been to Carmel on several occasions for dinner and really liked it. I went there for Mothers' Day; at approximately 3:30pm I had... I went there for Mothers' Day; at approximately 3:30pm I had called earlier in the week to ensure that I would have access to the dinner menu and not the brunch buffet they had advertised for Mothers' Day. I was told brunch stopped at 2pm. Taking my mom out to dinner to a crowded buffet is not my idea of a great Mothers' Day meal. When i arrived I was greeted by a team of lackluster teenagers; who basically just threw me at a table. The place itself was in a horrid state crumbs and food all over the floor. It looked like it had been ransacked. For 5 minutes no waiter came to the table, to take a drink order. Then I realized the only option was the brunch buffet which I had been told would be done by 2pm. Who wants to eat brunch at 3:30pm?! So I had to make a quick call to get into another restaurant because neither my mother nor i wanted brunch especially in a filthy setting with one cook to make all the omelettes. What would make the owners think that having brunch all day would be a good idea and not even to clean the place during the service I am truly disappointed and the owners should be ashamed.

The children loved their meals, tons of food, huge menu and better prices than chain restaurants offer for less quality. We will also be back for breakfast! There is no reason why this place should not be packed regularly. The staff and owners were so courteous and pleasant, ready, everything was great, and will make you everything you want. Try it! You'll like it!
